MSI Unveils AI-Powered Gaming Monitor with Human Tracking Camera

MSI introduced a range of new products, including the world’s first QD-OLED gaming monitor equipped with an AI-assisted camera that tracks user movements in real time.

Artificial intelligence is everywhere—and Computex 2025 is no exception. One of the world’s leading hardware manufacturers, MSI made a bold entrance into the gaming space with cutting-edge innovation. The company unveiled the MPG 271QR QD-OLED X50, the world’s first QD-OLED gaming monitor featuring an AI-powered camera system capable of real-time human detection.

AI Care Sensor with Human Tracking

The MPG 271QR QD-OLED X50 stands out with MSI’s proprietary AI Care Sensor, a specialized camera system integrated into the bottom bezel of the display. Capturing images five times per second (every 0.2 seconds), the sensor uses a neural processing unit (NPU) to detect whether someone is in front of the screen. When the user steps away, the monitor either significantly dims the display or automatically enters sleep mode.

This feature is designed to combat a common issue with QD-OLED panels: screen burn-in. By lowering brightness when the screen is not in use, it prevents pixels from remaining at maximum brightness, ultimately extending the panel’s lifespan and providing gamers with a longer-lasting, high-quality visual experience.

MSI assures users that this intelligent system does not store photos or upload any data to the cloud. For those concerned about privacy, the AI Care Sensor can also be completely disabled.

Coming July 17

When it comes to color and performance, the 27-inch X50 is backed by certifications like VESA ClearMR 21000 and DisplayHDR True Black 500. The QD-OLED panel supports refresh rates of up to 500 Hz and features an ultra-fast 0.03 ms GTG response time. The MSI MPG 271QR QD-OLED X50 will be available starting July 17, with a recommended retail price of $899.
